Distributed Generation
Distributed Generation is the use of smaller scale power sources tied to the grid or local commercial power source in order to reduce inefficiencies related to transmission over distances. In the US the use of such systems is usually the result of the desire to utilize a green fuel source such as digester waste gas or other similar green alternative fuels. This approach is gaining in popularity with the evolution of the smart grid concepts intended to reduce the burden the aging distribution systems of the United States and Canada. ComAp Systems makes an outstanding control and can source gear to make the interconnection to the local utility a success.
