At the end of last year ComAp Systems CZ got an interesting contract from its major customer Phoenix Zeppelin, distributor Caterpillar gen-sets in the Czech Republic. The subject of this contract was to deliver a complete solution for very important customer - the Czech Post. State-owned enterprise the Czech Post is the postal company with almost 35 thousand employees and more than 3 thousand of post offices in the Czech Republic.

The customer’s request was to provide reliable solution of emergency power system (2x 1100kVA) within one of the biggest post office in Prague.

The load is normally powered up from two parallel transformers. Each transformer has sufficient power to supply the load separately. If one transformer fails, the respective transformer circuit breaker will be disconnected. The network failure is considered when both transformers failure. In this case two gen-sets are started, synchronized and then the load breakers are connected.

Delivery included one control panel equipped with two InteliSys NT controllers, one controller InteliMains NT and accessories IG-IB. InteliSys NT controllers monitor and control two engines Caterpillar and the circuit breakers of gen-sets. The control system InteliMains NT controls the circuit breakers of two transformers and the common power supply circuit breaker. The IG-IB allows remote communication with the PC software InteliMonitor installed on the desktop PC.

The fact that this contract has been our second successful project during the last two years for the Czech Post is reflecting customer’s satisfaction with our products and services.
