In 2010 company „Zeppelin Rusland“ (Цеппелин Русланд), the distributor of Caterpillar gen-sets in Russia, chose ComAp Systems Russia as a supplier for their new project.

The customer’s request was to provide a management system for a diesel energy complex. The system consists of four power modules based on diesel gen-sets Caterpillar 3516 BHD placed in containers, and is intended for backup of the power facility. Each diesel gen-set has its own panel EMCP 3.3, voltage regulator CDVR, control unit of the speed ADEM and Woodward load share module.

The main requested functions of management systems were:
– automatic start/stop of the energy complex
– parallel work of all generators in the complex with a proportional division of active and reactive loads among them in automatic mode
– automatic power management
– communication with computer workstations operator implemented on a protocol Modbus RTU

InteliSys NT controllers, built in the separate control panels, allow all above mentioned functions.
The customer was very satisfied with the installation and is considering further cooperation with ComAp Systems Russia.
