In the fourth quarter of the last year technicians from ComAp Systems CZ Division successfully completed a challenging conversion of a standby gen-set SDMO in a famous Czech automotive company Skoda Auto a. s. Mlada Boleslav. One of the main requirements of the client was rebuilding of the system within 48 hours. Proudly, this requirement was met in advance by our team.

ComAp Systems CZ Division supplied the project, rebuilt the relevant switchgears and put into operation a new control system, including an Internet connection. The conversion involved a new gen-set SDMO, which has been equipped with a control system InteliGen NT and two independent distribution switchgears, in which control systems InteliMains NT were installed.

InteliGen NT controls and monitors the SDMO gen-set. InteliMains NT units control mains contactors and generator contactor. If the voltage of the first or the second mains is outside the set limits for a given period of time, InteliMains NT disconnects the respective mains contactor and sends a command through a communication cable to the control system InteliGen NT in order to start the gen set. As soon as the parameters of the gen set are stable, the relevant InteliMains NT unit operates the generator contactor. If parameters of the first mains or both mains are stable within a given period, the corresponding unit InteliMains NT disconnects the generator contactor and immediately operates the mains contactor. After cooling, the gen-set is stopped by InteliGen NT.

The fact this project has been our second successful conversion of the stand-by gen set during the last two years at the company Skoda Auto Mlada Boleslav is reflecting the customer´s satisfaction with our services and products.
