Bi-fuel conversion service provides an option to modify the original diesel engine so that it can operate on both diesel and natural gas simultaneously - substantial reducing operating costs and minimizing capital investment on replacing equipment prematurely. Each dual fuel engine conversion involves the use of the latest control technology.

Control and power solutions range from basic remote start through to multiple parallel applications all designed using reliable and flexible ComAp products to a specification that meets customers’ project requirements. The solutions range from wall or gen-set mounting through to full floor standing multiple parallel generator set systems, incorporating automatic break transfer with mains, mains paralleling and distribution systems.

The AFR (air-fuel ratio) control system is designed for gen-sets driven by lean burn gas engines and combines a range of specific control and interface modules (controller, digital speed governor and anti-knocking system) to deliver a complete gas management solution. AFR solutions can be used on a variety of gas types including natural gas, landfill gas and biogas.
